Notes: Prompts #26 to #50 for [livejournal.com profile] 1sentence

#26 - Forever
If she’s out there and if she’s alive, but then she is, in a manner of speaking, and then she’s not, and that is going to haunt him for all his days.

#27 - Blood
It’s everywhere and it’s too late and she should never have sent him out there.

#28 - Sickness
“I told you to stay away from me - you just can’t help yourself!”

#29 - Melody
While he’s gone, the guitar sits idle for day after day after day, and when it’s done and over, she takes it from his quarters before his team can collect his personal effects.

#30 - Star
“You’re the headline act for the talent show.”

#31 - Home
“He is home!” she snaps, when they tell her that they want to send him ‘home’.

#32 - Confusion
“I don’t know a John Sheppard and I never have.”

#33 - Fear
Her head lolls wearily to one side, her voice a mere rasp as she tells them, “You’ve already destroyed the city and my people and him, so do your worst.”

#34 - Lightning/Thunder
After, she stays outside during storms just to prove a point to herself, and he pretends she doesn’t know he watches her, just in-case.

#35 - Bonds
“Well, are you ever going to get them unstuck or is she going to have to drag him around after her when he passes out from the tedium of her meetings?”

#36 - Market
Only later does Teyla tell him that the markings on the necklace identify the wearer as one betrothed, but by then he doesn’t care that it’s both claiming and ambiguous, only that Elizabeth likes it, and hey, it might help her one day.

#37 - Technology
She doesn’t know why he pretends that he doesn’t understand.

#38 - Gift
“I didn’t forget, John, there just wasn’t anything I could find that didn’t say something I wanted to say out loud.”

#39 - Smile
Damn that man.

#40 - Innocence
McKay says it was Sheppard, and Sheppard says it was McKay, but when Rodney accuses her of taking the Colonel’s side, she shuts down both of their internet logins for a month.

#41 - Completion
By the end of the first week, they know the mission isn’t ever going to be over.

#42 - Clouds
She denies ever having smoked, but he thinks she’s caught on remarkably quickly when he discovers her, high as a kite, among great clouds of alien intoxicant.

#43 - Sky
It’s on fire again and they stare stoically, because to look away would be to admit defeat.

#44 - Heaven
He has to believe in it now.

#45 - Hell
It’s painful to realise that home is not home, with its distance and reassignments, but home is hell.

#46 - Sun
They learn that one sun is not like another very soon after their arrival; he always eyes daggers at her when she reminds him about sunscreen.

#47 - Moon
“You did what to the ambassador!?””

#48 - Waves
He does it anyway, when they say don’t jump right off the docks, and she’s there, furious as all hell, when he’s the first they have to fish out of the ocean.

#49 - Hair
Each and every morning, she wakes with her hair sticking out every which way, as if she’s an experienced an electric shock, and each and every morning he never fails to laugh.

#50 - Supernova
And yet, when she leads them through the ‘Gate and out into space, it’s over.
